About Sack Races.

Sack Races is an independent football project that tracks the pressure on managers in the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. Explore the rankings, compare recent results and follow how a manager’s score changes over time.

What we measure

Our experimental Manager Pressure Score (MPS) combines recent league results, performance during a manager’s spell and a club’s verified dismissal history. Higher scores indicate greater pressure within the model. They do not give the probability of a dismissal or reveal a club’s private decisions.

Start with the guide, or read the full calculation and its limitations. Compare scores within the same league; they are not calibrated across leagues.

Where the information comes from

Match results and manager records come from the sources listed on our data sources page. We publish our own derived scores alongside the supporting results and data notes. Missing or uncertain information is disclosed rather than filled with invented results. Pages labelled Demo contain fictional examples and are separate from the live rankings.

Updates and corrections

Updates are scheduled daily and published after data and site checks pass. An unsuccessful update leaves the previous verified data available. Check the timestamps on the site and club profiles for the information actually included; scheduled updates are not a promise of real-time coverage.

To report a correction, email sackraces@gmail.com with the club, relevant date, disputed fact and a primary source. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information.
